PRIORITIES
My priorities are the priorities of my fellow neighbors. The people of the 3rd Ward deserve a safe, clean and affordable place to live and a community that provides opportunities for us to grow together. For our ward and the entire City of St. Louis to thrive, we need a leader who listens to the concerns of the people and takes meaningful action that matters. My platform is based on the needs I’ve heard from you!
MY LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM
-
As a community advocate, I’ve been very vocal about the fact that our neighborhood is both over-surveilled, yet underserved. Whether it be the introduction of commercial drones spying on our neighbors or the expansion of police technology that has not proven to improve safety in our areas, I have a documented history of advocating for common-sense, transparent and honest public safety methods to keep our communities safe.
As your Alderwoman, I commit to building a bridge between our communities and law enforcement to build trust and increase responsiveness.
It is my vision that our community of neighbors and businesses thrive without the intense presence of police oversight. Instead, it is my priority to organize neighbors to build stronger communities block-by-block, connecting you with the tools and resources already flowing through our neighborhoods to keep you safe and connected.
As we work to re-imagine safety and meet the basic needs of our neighbors, I will use the public safety tools we have and relationships I’ve built to get us where we ultimately want to be.
-
For our neighborhoods to thrive, we need to stabilize our community’s most immediate needs. Based on what I heard from you, one issue keeps emerging to the surface: reduce vacancy and blight.
Every year, we see vacant properties be destroyed by fires, intentional destruction and negligence leaving existing neighbors feeling unsafe and unvalued. As your neighbor, I have been a vocal advocate at City Hall on bills related to zoning codes and housing laws that govern our city.
As your Alderwoman, I will continue to support legislation that makes it harder for out-of-state property owners and speculators to prey on our neighborhoods while providing pathways to affordable homeownership, anti-displacement strategies, and expanded support for mental health, substance abuse and wraparound services to those in need.
-
Our city is only as strong as we have resources to support it. With tax incentives given away to special interests to attract new developments and businesses, our city and our communities are left without the city services we sorely need.
As your Alderwoman, I’ll push to invest in building our tax base from the ground up. By leveraging my experience in economic development, I’ll work to create pathways to affordable housing, support protections for renters and shield existing homeowners from undesirable effects of new development.
I’ll champion equitable development to stabilize historic properties, like Cleveland High School and the Virginia Theater, while working to tackle property blight within our neighborhoods. In addition, I will continue my efforts to elevate existing businesses while attracting new businesses that meet the current needs our neighbors have.
-
I will always put the needs of our community before any personal special interest projects. As a young working mother, providing support for working families will be one of my top priorities.
As your Alderwoman, I’ll push for critical investments in childcare and housing assistance programs to lower costs for working families within our communities. In addition, you can always count on me to support the right to unionize your workplace and prioritize contracts with contractors that employ union workers.
-
When talking to fellow neighbors, one of your top concerns is traffic violence. From speeding to property damage to injuring people, it’s clear that our ward and the entire City of St. Louis needs a variety of solutions to curb the effects of traffic violence.
With my experience in pedestrian-centered infrastructure, I look forward to exploring and implementing the many traffic solutions that exist and coordinate them with existing city improvements to reduce the time spent in construction and maximizing our ward funds.
As your Alderwoman, I would champion a full-scale transportation plan for our ward - prioritizing multi-modal transit to help people stay safe as they travel to their destinations. No matter if you travel by foot, wheel, transit or car, you deserve to travel and arrive safely and conveniently to your destination.

As taxpaying citizens, we all deserve a city that works for us. I’m committed to improving the state of the 3rd Ward by investing in the city services we all depend on. Code enforcement, filling potholes, repairing sidewalks, picking up trash and trimming trees should not be a luxury of a few communities but an equitable right of every neighborhood in the City of St. Louis.
As your Alderwoman, I will commit to funding our city’s departments to ensure proper staffing and efficient city services. I will advocate for our community’s service needs to be prioritized as much as neighboring wealthy communities. You deserve to be able to rely on the basic services that your taxes pay for, and I’ll work to do exactly that.
